The Sundial Soap Company was formed in 2004 and is based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
We start with various ready-made "melt and pour" bases, to which we add a variety of natural ingredients, scents and colors.
The liquid soap is poured into different types of molds to set and the final product is a unique, beautiful bar of soap, often with healing properties due to the added ingredients. See the Ingredients page for more details.
After the soap has dried for a day or so it is ready to be wrapped
in paper. We use images of textiles such as oriental rugs, batiks,
or antique parchments for an elegant finishing touch.
Care of Soap
High-glycerin soaps need to be allowed to dry after use - if they sit in water they will melt, so using a soap rack will greatly prolong the life of your soap.
